Well I'm delighted that I have shed 12kg since January with eating correctly and regular jogging. My gear fits as it should and I feel great.

On the downside, my bloody crash helmets don't fit anymore. I need to drop down to a size small. I don't have the funds at the moment to splash out on a new lid as I only got a new lid in December.

Anyone else got a downside tail to shedding a few pounds?

Yup, the only annoying part is having to have 2 sets of just about everything. I gained 9kg over the Winter  (lots of lifting and very little cardio.. and plenty of waffles :rof: )

There was me thinking you were the epitome of healthy living and fitness. There is hope for us mere mortals ha ha.

I've lost about the same amount of weight as you have since the beginning of January (~25 pounds).

Biggest downside for me has been cold intolerance and the need for a new pair of pants and a jacket for the summer. I'll be keeping the old stuff as now I have room to layer like crazy underneath and ride in some very cold weather next winter :)

My pants are way to big in the waist now but at least I can zip them into the jacket.
I'm worrying about having an ill fitting lid.
Well done on the weight loss.

Uhhh, you can finally see your man bits and realize just how small they were, not just hiding. :BLAA::ban::D

p.s. I'm sorry I had a friend say that to me once after I lost weight. I thought I'd pass it along.

i have maybe lost 10 of the 30 ive gained over the last 8-9 (lots of sitting due to programming).. but the jacket feels a lot better from last season.. healthy living but still not doing enough walking/running/cardio.. working on it, but the best way to stick with it is to make small changes.. i used to never do push ups.. now i can do 20 without breaking a sweat!!!

oh and congrats on the weight loss!! good luck, stay at it!!!

I've dropped 40 lbs since last spring and while my new winter jacket fits because I bought it AFTER losing the weight, my mesh jacket is a little loose, even tightened all the way down with all the snaps/Velcro. Fortunately my big 'ole head is still as inflated as ever, just ask my wife...

fill your cheeks with air and breath through your nose....should work.

+1!! This is a major reason why I intentionally gain wait in the Winter.. lots of snowboarding in cold climate.. hate to feel cold!

Wow, I didn't think anyone as active as a snowboarder would get cold.

I've got a couple friends (actually, bandmates/musicians) who've lost a lot of weight and they both complained about being cold, too. If it (weight loss) ever happens to me I'll report in.

Congrats on the weight loss!
I noticed my gear is getting looser...
I lost 15lb since the beginning of March, I'm up to a 3.5 mile run now. If I skip more than a day w/o running I go crazy.

Worst part of the day: taking the first chair up. Not warmed up yet and you just sit there completely exposed to the elements. Usually gets better as the day progresses, but some days are so cold.. you just never really warm up.

Congrats on the weight loss! Been there few years ago. Went from 175 to 158 and now 170lbs. I did a lot of running at first and lost all that weight. I had to by new clothes then I pack muscle weight... my pants still fit but my shirt are a bit snug.... gotta get back in running more now.
