Wife got aWR250x, I was offered an 08 fz6 for 6500 otd.I just want to cruise back roads with her and save some gas going here and there. Her bike is a lot of fun, but i'm afraid I would tire quickly of it if I got one too. I owned a kz1000 when I was 16 so its not a power issue, more about tight not so good tar and chip narrow roads that we ars faced with here in PA.any suggestions ?

Why not go along with the misses and get an XT 250 dual sport? There you will have both worlds at the tip of the grip and it's very well suited for the type of roads you have in mind. I've always had a problem riding the FZ6 with say a cruiser because they're just way to slow for me and this isn't even when I am pushing it. I always seem to be stuck in 3rd gear.

I have 6 dirt bikes in the garage, and a dual sport has always seemed to be be neither really good at the road or the dirt. Her wr250x is a supermoto, and her first street bike , she loved it at first sight because she has a wr450f, which she throughs around pretty good.Plus even if I got the same bike I'm going to be holding back, she's been on bikes 5 yrs , me almost40. thanks
