What size helmet do you wear?

Why is it that they went the way of S,M,L? It was easier when you just bought one in your hat size. Instead of wasting time trying to find if you fit a M or L in each brand you should be able to walk into the shop & ask for a 57 & pick a brand

More annoyingly why don't the helmet manufacturers give an indication of shape head that the helmet is designed for . . .

I wear a Caberg Trip/Rhyno in XL, but the Caberg V2 in XL doesn't fit, it's too tight front to back . . .

There have been some helmets in XL that I've attempted to try that even the shell would not be wide enough . . .
