What other hobbies or obsessions do you have?

Just curious we have people on here from all over just curious what other hobbies or obsessions do other people have. Other than riding this time of year it is Deer season here in illinois from oct 1 through the middle of january. I guess that is what I do while my bike is put up and during the summer I go to big outdoor 3-d archery competitions. My wife calls it an OBSESSION not a hobby. Be shure to post pics if you all have any sorry I dont have any of me at the competitions yet.

Yak fishing. ( Kayak fishing ). I've got three kayaks now and am set up with fish finders and gps and cameras. I've got 2 locally made invaders and a Hobie Outback with sail and all the goodies.

it is funny, i had this same thought for a thread about a week ago, then we bought a house and moved, and i forgot all about it.

My passion truly is Motorcycles, not just the FZ6, but anything to do with them. I love the designs, i work at the races, i work on my own bike and my wifes, and i ride far too much for my own good .

Video games... I grew up with the following systems Pong, Atari 2600, Atari XE, Commodore 64, NES, SNES, Playstation, Playstation 2, XBOX, XBOX 360. I still own the 2600, XE, NES, SNES, Playsyation, XBOX, 360 and the games.

I also grew up with 3 brothers so I am fiercly competitive, even if I'm not any good. Most people buy their tv with movies and sports in mind. I purchased mine with video games in mind. I have a 65 inch sharp aquos lcd and a 7.1 dennon receiver and polk speakers. My favorite chair to play in is the leather massage chair for my bad back that my wife bought me from sharper image two years ago.

I don't often get to spend as much time playing as I want to or as much money on new games/hardware. I was into warcraft for a while but got out after expansion. Was going to get into warhammer but current pc won't run it and I don't have the money to upgrade it.

How much of an obsession is it sometimes... yesterday I had the day off and I promised myself I would excercise (headed to jamica in a month). So I got on the eliptical machine and 'ran' while I played some 360. I looked down later and saw I had done 10 miles without realizing it.

Oh and reading. I spend at least 90 minutes reading each day during my commute

Bicycles, mostly off-road, I race downhill and have raced cross-country, too. Current count 8.5 -- unicycle is the .5-- in a studio apartment. Part-time cycling coach. Martial art (started as hapkido but now it's called yongmudo). And English Premier League Football.

Baisically anything to do with soccer (futbol for the non-americans) is definitely my true passion. Planning on attending the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. I just got my first motorcycle 1 month ago but its already turning into an obsession. I'm a little bummed though because its already getting pretty cold here in Colorado so i'm not sure how much longer the riding season will last. There's always skiing / snowboarding in the winter though...the first ski resort is opening up tomorrow!:rockon:

- Play with my daughter Juliette (14months old)
- eat good food and drink good wines (dry Bordeaux's are my favorite)
- travel around the world (been to quite a lot of places already, but never to Asia! so that's on the list)
- read science mags (I love to read about quantum physics)
- play poker with friends (I prefer home games, with beer, smokes and a bunch of close friends)
- play video games on my PC (trying to finish Crysis War right now... I only play FPS and racing games... I need instant action or I won`t play - not enough time for bs!)

I wish I did martial arts and played an instrument (Guitar)

I am an avid hunter. Summertime its spotlighting rabbits with a bow, and archery shoots. Late summer its getting around to deer season for archery. After that its rifle for deer. Then its duck and goose! I am honestly obsessed with goose hunting. Hunting from kayaks in the tules is my favorite. After that its a little breaktime in the spring then its back to archery shoots and rabbits.

Other than that, I like playing a little xbox, relaxing with friends, thinking about hunting, and dreaming of what to do to my bike next.

nothing like hunting and feeding yourself, friends and family! Although I spearfish underwater for totally different game. same principle lol...it's good to know if the grocery markets have power outages I can still have seafood! lol
