what is this connector for

was in the middle of doing the grounding procedure for unlocking my CO adjustments while i was looking for a plug to hopefully plug a scan tool into when i came across this plug taped up inside the harness about 3 inches from the ecm connector. it is a 4 pin connector, colors bk/w, bk/w, olive green to bk/w (don't know if it goes back to green or not, its taped up good in there), and a black wire. the connector looks like one you would find inside a desktop computer.
so the question is what is this connector for?

I understand your need to solve this, but starting multiple threads on the same thing is actually confusing.


PS - my US model 08 has this:

I forgot what colors the wires are - wish I would have wrote it down. FWIW worth no where I have found the standard Yamaha used for comms - even to the cluster but I doubt its CAN bus but who knows.
