What does the S stand for?

This might be a dumb question, but what does the S stand for in FZ6S? My bikes designation is FZS6W(C) and I really dont know what that means I guess. Do I have the bottom-end FZ? What about you guys? Is yours the same?

The S in other countries means that it is Faired(fairing)
If it has an "N" that means Naked.

All bikes in the US are the same, except for the CA model which has some sort of evap. canister to meet regulations. As far as I know.

S generally denotes the Sport or Faired versions, while N denotes Naked.

The CA models are generally noted with a C on the end.

There's a whole bunch of other ways they denote it, I have no idea what most of it means.

Parts fiche lists it as FZS6V(C), service manual says FZ6-ST(C)

Why do the put they battery box under a Suzuki Intruder.

We don`t know, it just is and they just do.

FZ6-NHG(W) == New S2 Model 2007 Naked (W marks Australian version)
FZ6-SHG(W) == New S2 Model 2007 with fairing (W marks Australian version)
FZ6-NAHG == New S2 Model 2007 Naked & ABS (Anti Lock System)
FZ6-SAHG == New S2 Model 2007 with fairing & ABS (Anti Lock System)

Then there are the US models:

This looks for me that in SS and ST the 2nd letter stands for the year.
And then they changed the system and V-Y stands for the year. (What happens 2011??)

Well, it looks like:

A = ABS (Anti Lock System)
C = California Version
HG = The 2007 new S2 model. (Why H AND G?)
X = The 2007 new S2 model in the US.
N = Naked
S = Fairing
V = Australian Version
W = Australian Version
