Dropped the bike today, I was on my way home from hanging with friends and I took a curve in my neighborhood too fast, hit some leaves, and down I went, bike skidded 10-20 some feet and I at least 10. Stupid mistake by coming into the corner too fast and stupider mistake by not putting on a little rear brake and leaning more. Was wearing full gear but I got a little scrape on my wrist where my jacket/glove wasn't fully covering. Oh well, live and learn I guess. so heres the pics

seriously, WTF. that's gonna be a pain in the arse to pull off, but it did protect the engine and frame from any scratches so I'm happy about that

only a small scrape, I would not want this all over my body

great pants, have some hip padding, makes it not hurt as much

so yeah, the kicker, that's my front yard that the bike is basically in. I expected my mother to come out running and screaming lol, but luckily she wasn't home. My neighbors drove up right after it happened and helped me push the bike into my driveway. bike starts and runs fine, but I still have a 2 hour ride back to manhattan tomorrow. Time to look for some parts I guess

Thanks man. I've got a nasty headache which is weird because there are no signs of my helmet making contact with the street, and my hip is pretty sore. So we'll see how I feel in the morning

OES. I'm decently happy with them but less than please with the bolt. It at least didn't break but it bending like that caused the slider to offer less protection than it should have. So I'll be upgrading the bolts for sure

That could just be the stress of the accident.

I think leaves scare me more than cagers; I haven't ridden much lately, there's snow on the ground but the trees aren't totally bare yet either.

That's a possibility for sure. I'm in the process of numbing my frontal lobe at my cousins wedding. No worries I didn't drive. Yeah I'd rather deal with idiot cagers than leaves. Obviously haha

Glad you're o.k. man.
Those are some sad pictures though... :(

I keep a wary eye on those evil leaves this time of year. :Flip:

Atta boy, enjoy some free libations! You deserve them after walking away from a get off.

But some full leather gloves with the gauntlet for your wrists

Haha yeah man those leaves are little devils. And I agree, I think I was more upset about watching my bike skid across pavement than the fact that I was doing the same lol.

Lol yeah now I'm feeling a little better after a shot or ten here and there. I just bought some winter gloves that are gauntlet length but I didn't feel like taking the time to put them on after getting breakfast with a lady friend. But I guess I'll need new summer gloves now lol
