Valve cover installation?

I was finishing up the valve adjustment on my 2005 FZ6 and I've run into a bit of a problem... I can't for the life of me get the valve cover seated on!

It almost gets on but ends up off angled hitting the right side of the frame by the chain cover. Any advice on getting in back on?

Never did it but probably need to get it over the chain cover FIRST...

It needs to be angled in a certain way. Don't really know how to describe it, but I slid it from the right side, with the bottom left corner of the cover entering first, and then slightly clockwise rotating the rest.

It's just super fussy and there's only one way to get it wedged in without knocking the gasket off.

Good luck. Take your time and step away if you run out of patience.

Make sure the gasket is seated properly all the way around before you tighten anything down.
