Valve Adjustments, have you had it done?

2004 fz6 new to me. 46000 km and just checked mine. All in spec but approaching the limit. Planning to inspect annually until they need doing. Was quoted $400 to have them done.

280USD at dealer to check, more if repairs needed. They said mine were fine. FWIW

some other things. major service stuff i suppose

My cheapest quote when I called around was nearly $1000.

Just did it myself instead at 27k. All exhaust were tight, intake were fine. I'll be due for the second check in a year or so.

$1000 seems steep. i was thinking $600 is top for this job. but not just the valves. it has to include other things. just for the valve check alone? i cannot say....

just know this bike gets basic service, adjustments, and tires and keeps running and running

i like my shop in SoCal, ela area. guy is a rider and racer and gives good service at fair prices. adding on a coffee shop, too

I had mine done at 50k only one was slightly out of spec and I had a full service done this one time at about $600.
