Never heard of any news on that website. Only links to videos that most of the time where hosted first somewhere else.

The link is to the video. Everyone opinion is worthless. All that matters is the facts which are available to anyone who wants to look at them, which you have repeatedly choose not to do so.

That is the difference between you and me. I 100 percent go for video evidence, you go 100 percent for opinion columns which do not line up with what happened.. if you actually bothered to watch the event.

Chasing a fleeing felon is not vigilant justice, it is acceptable by law.

The man was caught and subdued, thanks in large part to the undercover cop there who helped break in the windows and pull that guy out of his vehicle he was using as a weapon.

I'm not really getting to deep into this thread, but I have a question. Does the citizens arrest apply to this at all? I worked security at a few high profile areas and thats about all the power we had. Just wondering.

The bikers absolutely have the right to chase down, subdue, and arrest a fleeing felon exactly what the SUV driver was that is why the undercover cops on the scene help them do just that even participating in breaking in the windows to rip out the perpetrator

However, we live in world were facts and rights do not matter anymore. Everything is a popularity and a political contest. The SUV's guy uncle is the head of police. Now all the cops that were on the scene helping to stop the bad guy in the SUV will take the fall too along with hardworking blue collar dad with 2 kids who went out on bike ride and got crashed into by jerk not paying attention to the road.

Pretending for a moment that your view of the events is correct, the RR driver is not a felon (that label comes with a conviction by the courts). Plus, no one, not even the police, has the right to beat the suspect after apprehension. What are your thoughts on that sequence of events? Was the beating justified?

And the undercover officer is shown on video breaking the REAR window, as his buddies are pulling the driver out from the driver side window. The cop didn't help apprehend anyone. He then got on his bike and fled. Real hero.

Finally, before you make a statement about the head of police being his uncle, get some proof. Your hip hop web video cop statement is not proof.

I reported this post for shear stupidity. One post he says never judge a book by its cover and others he calls people bigots. I'm spent arguing, rebuttal this with more insults and I will just report them or any other insulting posts to other members as well.

We will see what justice says when the time is right.

You bring up an interesting point. And this is getting slightly off topic of the thread, the intent of the thread is to post up to date news (please check the dates of an article before you post).

Let's assume we drank the Kool-Aid and suddenly all believe the driver of the Range Rover had committed a Hit and Run. We want to follow him and detain him so the police are capable of arresting him. First I would assume an individual would have to be on the phone with 911 to make them aware of the location and situation. Then if the opportunity presented itself and the individual could be captured and detained under the pretense of a citizen's arrest, it would have to be done with out any real physical violence (similar to no police brutality). I have heard of cases of individuals following suspected hit and run individuals here in AZ while on the phone with 911. As soon as the cops get on the scene usually one cop would detain the individual reporting the hit n run while following the suspected perpetrator, another cop would detain the suspected perpetrator of the hit and run. Meanwhile another cop would go to the original scene of the accident and corroborate the stories of each individual. If the stories check out the good citizen who attempted the citizens arrest would probably be freed while the cops finish sorting out the rest of the scene.

Now the risk of attempting a citizens arrest is many fold. You could face charges for false arrest, unlawful imprisonment, assault and battery, etc if you are found to be in the wrong for doing it. I personally would only attempt to report the suspected crime, never get involved.
