so i got the juice box and TB exhaust... i kicked the box up a notch since i have the airbox mod, i figured a little more gas woudlnt hurt.... the one thing i ahve noticed since i did the cans was alot more "backfire" coming from the cans... not so much boom, more like pop pop pop pop on decel.... it seems like anytime im not purposfully giving it throttle it pops alot... would that be TOO much air? and i should kick the box up another level... or not enough air? for anyone who has box and cans... what do you have yours set on? for anyone with just cans... do you have the same problem?

this vid its not real easy to hear... but a little...

I've understood it to be the opposite, too much fuel and when the throttle is trailing oxygen enters the exhaust system allowing the fuel to burn on its way out of the exhaust.

Anyone know for sure?

Yep, backfire ie: popping, is excess fuel in the exhaust. There wouldn't be any of that if the fuel was already consumed in the combustion chamber.

so i should probably turn the box down to where it was stock? it says it was set up for a TB exhaust... but i figured if i did the airbox "mod" then a little extra fuel wouldnt hurt with the extra air also...

The main concern is fueling under acceleration, not no load conditions. Popping isn't an indicator of overfueling to make power. That would be combustion temp and excess hydrocarbons coming out the tailpipe.

Mine is an '08 - stock airbox with Two Bros, no juice box. I've also noticed the popping at low rpm deceleration - it reminds me of my Yamaha Waverunners (two stroke) at slow "no wake" speed... I don't think it's a problem though.

I've said it a million times but I'll say it again

How well are your throttlebodies synced? I have barely any decel popping anymore after a proper sync

Scorpion pipes with K&N filter and Juice Box. Running stock settings. I had very bad popping before the Juice Box and it was running much hotter, so much so that you could feel and smell it. With the additional fuel it cured most of the popping and the bike runs normal temp again. I also tried bumping the fuel values up a half a point but returned it to standard for the Juice Box as it seem best there.
