Turn signal loose?

I've got a 2006 FZ6 and the right side front turn signal is dangling. I know I didn't hit anything but think maybe someone parked too close and maybe hit it. Looking at it I can't figure out what holds it in. The opposite one on the left side is held in tightly but how? Does it just snap in somehow or is it bolted in or something?

there's a little plastic clip behind the cowling that's bigger than the hole for the turn signal. the end of the turn signal is rubber and sort of snaps around the clip on the inside. here's a diagram to make it a little bit clearer. you could get a look at the rear turn signals as they're the same as the front

Thanks, notjohndavid. I still haven't gotten around to fixing it but I will soon. I figured it was something small and easy to fix.
