So on my long ride i've come across something i do not like about my current setup..... after long highway rides my front get crap on it.... and when i tried to lean the bike over a little in the wet, my front gets very squirelly. I believe this is because the rear pirelli will grip all day so the crappy dunflop oem tire wants to let go first, so i get "understeer".

Looks like the front pirelli will be next.

Also my chicken strip on my front is like 3" and on the back it's like 1/4"?! is this normal?!

if you've been highway riding then you may have squared off the tyre slightly, which will make handling feel a little funny.

it's also worth checking your tyre pressures

i tend to find i have bigger chicken strips on the back than the front, maybe it depends on the type of tyres and riding style

Front tyres will always have a large chicken strip, they don't really get too far over when you lean hard. I've got no stop on the rear on one side, like 6mm on the other side, and like 2" ones on the front. I agree with the assessment about the different makes - I would never run two different tyres unless while racing and certain of their feel and what I need them to do.
