Thinking about colors

I have a 2007 blue FZ and I've taken it naked. Now I'm thinking of two things, one is painting the front fender black rather than the blue and I'm thinking of taking the stickers off the side pieces that run along the seat.

My question, has anyone painted the blue fender black and how does it look?

Rather than painting it, why not just get a factory black one? I'm not sure how much painting it would cost, but it's $69 to get a black OEM one from Ronayers.com Ron Ayers Motorsports

why not go full custom colour and extras, mines got full paint job ,custom seat , grips, tyre lettering ,engine bolts and im hoping to carry on with led indicators and rear light. need to get a rear shock sock, new angry front light, and some colour coded lines and pipes. i love it and although it isnt to everyones taste (my bike) i love it when i open the garage to her in the mornings. take a look and see what ya think......

To make it real cheap see if you can get one of forum member to swap their black for blue.
