The (tyre) price is right??

I am going for my first tyre change (tyre newbie!!), and wanted something cheap and long lasting... (i intend to do long motorway journeys)...

Been quoted £199 for a pair of Maxxis Supermaxx M6029s, fully fitted, ride-in ride-out...

Is it too much??

I have had good luck and long life with Shinko 009's and they are dirt cheap. I have even done 2 track days on them as well as 8k miles street on them so far and they still have almost 1/2 tread...

they are not as sticky as some of the nicer tires out there, but for what you are looking at, they are a great touring tire that can hold it's own when it needs to.

For reference I just got a set of Pirelli Angel ST front and back for $350 including installation. Supposed to last about 7.5k miles, I believe thats about 220-230 british pounds.
