My guess it's just a publicity stunt!
I doubt they would un-mask the stig mid-season.

I am a believer in the theory that there are at least 3 people who are STIG.

Agree, rumours were damon hill for a while and when my wife told me this morning I thought no way. I remember at one stage the stigs body was quite lean and almost feminine and then the next time was tall and well built, i would put money on there being many stigs.

I believe it was a hoax guy's , if you watch the credits for the the show it has Michael listed as a special guest but time will tell....

i agree, i reckon Mr Schumacher is one of a few high profile drivers that have shared the distinction of being the Stig...i bet it's even a bit of a joke in F1 circles.

they often say that the guest F1 drivers take a different line to the stig, this could be a way to shift attention from the possibility of stig being a F1 driver???

I watched the show last night and I'm convinced Michael schumacher rode the Ferrarri FXX around the track (in the stig suit) as it got the quickest time ever and beat the second best car by a long margin, so in my opinion it was a combination of driver/car that made such a great time.
Is Michael schumacher normally the stig, no, I believe Ferrarri paid him to ensure their car got the fastest lap, he also came on the show to plug a drink drive campaign he has been doing together with Bacardi.
IMHO Next week it will be someone else.

Despite this it was a great show :thumbup:
