I had crashed my poor Fz6 july 7th this year, still healing. but doing well.

i had grown to really love the street fighter look but couldn't see doing it while my front fairing was still in great condition. nonetheless, the whole front end was completely bend and torn up.

Now that the decision is made, i ordered a mess ton of parts today!

-Laser X-treme Exhaust
(LASER 'X-treme' Exhaust System tapered (4 x 70 mm) for the YAMAHA FZ6/S FAZER 2004-2007 | FosterRAD Laser Exhaust Systems)
-Top Saddlrey Seat
-Left OEM Rearset
-SW-MOTECH Crashbar/Engine Guard
(TwistedThrottle.com : SW-MOTECH Crashbars/Engine Guards (Yamaha FZ6, '04-) - SBL.06.316.100)
-Yamaha Logo Swingarm Decal
-Grand Tourismo Style Grips
-OEM handlebars
-Side covers

Parts Already Recieved

-Front + Rear Black Rims
-Fz16 Headlight
-Black front fender
-Front Fork Set with axle

Mods to do:
-Rear hugger Cut
-Send gas tank to get repaired and painted (Probably somthing custom)
-Send Headers to get Ceramic coated
-(Find out if a rear seat cowl will work overtop of a top saddlery seat)
-Possibly (Still thinking about it) get the engine powder coated black
-Still thinking about buying a frame cap

Still more to come, Pictures will come soon. i promise!

Added 6 Pictures of the bike after the accident, and 2 Before

The First picture (After the accident) is to show what the frame slider Looks like (From the other side anyways)
The second picture shows how much it worn through, it bent the bolt and shaved the head down so getting it off will be a task

Wow, that is way gnarlier in pic form. Glad you are alright now.

I mailed the bars and side covers today. You should have them by fri-sat.

Can't wait to see how your bike turns out. . . then we have to get a ride going.

Looks good! If you need any tips on taking anything apart PM me. One thing I had trouble with was the fuel sending unit in the bottom of the tank. The is a little plastic tab that stops it from coming out, you just bend it a tad with a screwdriver and it comes out.

Hey now. Sounds like she's coming together. I love the headlight set up. We got cheated in the states but I guess that's what makes it more unique and appealing.

What kind of front tire is that ? Almost looks like a dual purpose tire.

Looks good! You have most of what I'm planning so its good to see what my bike will look like soon:D One question, what mounted here?

whatisthiso.jpg

It is under the fairing right now, maybe the stay mounted there? Do the FZ6s that came from Yamaha naked have a flat spot there too?

Yup, fairing brackets are mounted there. FZ6N has the same flat spots in the frame.

Weird, I never noticed that spot before somehow. I wonder how hard it would be to get something to fit in there, maybe a reflector since there is no central hole to pass a wire for a turn signal through:confused:

I did not like that spot on the frame so bought these , plus allowed me to move the horn. They come in 3 colors.
