The Demise of the FZ6S2 in the US?

Thats pretty much the way it is. One guy saw my bike, noticed it was a Yamaha and thought it was an r1?! I told him it wasnt and he then said "So it's an r6 then?" Told him no again and said that it was an FZ6 to which he said, "Oh, never heard of it." He did tell me it was a nice bike though!:thumbup:

I had a similar experience. I was in the supermarket carrying around my helmet when someone asked my what I was riding. I told him an FZ6 and he said "a what"? I went into a little detail and he said "oh, it's one of those streetfighter bikes".

While at the dealer buying the FZ1, they had 6 or 7 FZ6R's all different colors among 10-12 R6's and as many R1's. . The only FZ6 was my '06 I was trading in. I definetly see the FZ6 going away here after seeing that.
