Yep, the season is started - remember roads are cold, so are the tires. Most accidents happen early in the season.

Ride safe - see You on the roads in Denmark. Im still considering the ride to bakkes opening, however it's already end march - and in Copenhagen. Risk getting gunshot over there

Might be better to go on the trip with Steve in June ;o)

Just spray your tires and jacket with some bullet proof kevlar spray

Out of interest is there anything legal stopping you from riding without the higher priced insurance or just your insurance company saying you have to pay more? Just wondering whether a foreigner can legally ride in the winter months with their foreign insurance?

A foreigner can ride any time HIS/HER own insurance allows it.
If you don't have insurance as a Danish resident, - they will pull your licence plate.
I'm not sure what would happen if you were stopped by a policeman in the "hibernation months", with a normal insurance. (And I don't wonna test it).
