Re: Help man down. Tail Light Fuse Shorting Out
What work has been done RECENTLY to the bike, especially towards the rear (or anywhere)?
You have a dead short (hot line is shorting direct to ground)most likely or someone wired something incorrectly.
If the first, you need to start at the tail and start inspecting closely for a bare wire with no insulation left.
*You may, with the help of another, find it by listening closely, IE;
Turn off the red kill switch (no fuel pump noise).
Put in a new fuse.
Have someone turn on the key and listen VERY CLOSELY. You can probably hear the short to ground right before the fuse blows and head in that area where the issue is..
This "pop" will happen very, very quickly so you have to pay CLOSE attention and pick up some extra fuses and work in a VERY QUIET SPOT.
