Tail/Brake bulb upgrade?

Hey all..
Since I've been riding alot at night to beat the heat I thought I would try to increase my visibility.

Already did reflective tape on the helmet and several spots on the bike.

Been thinking about using these bulbs in my tail/brake light. Anyone have any experience with them? Would the higher wattage rating (27/8w) cause any problems with the stock wiring?

Making yourself more visible during the day and night is always good.

Not sure if you still have the back end stock, or replaced it with a fender eliminator kit. But if it's stlll stock, here's a picture of what I have done. Auxillary LED tail running lights & flashing brake lights that compliments my stock tail & brake lights. Search using the word Hyper lites. I picked up a LED license plate bulb from the local auto parts store and rigged it onto my bike. You can see me miles away from the back.

Thanks Vegas, I know I can always count on you for an informative intelligent answer. I have a FE kit that reuses the stock directionals. But I will start exploring some LED options.. seems like a lot to choose from. Thanks for the head start

+1 on the Hyper lights. Draws very low voltage, easy install and very visable. I have them on all my bikes...
