brake light flasher

looking for a tail light flasher of some kind, for the fz. i just dont think that there is enough diffent betweet tail and brake lights and i would feel better about being safer on the bike if better seen.

looking for one that will flash the light when the brake is fist applied then stay steady... i thought there where some led replacement bulbs that had this built in..

something simmiler to this (i think) am i on the right track for what i am looking to do??

I purchased mine from Hyper Lites and posted a review. The link is below. Like Defy mentioned, they come in various sizes. But they also come with various functions. I choose to get the 16 pod vs 8, because more is better. Plus mine are used as auxillary running lights as well. You also have the option of getting them work as turn signals too.

I ended up purchasing the license bracket later, which I like better than where I initially installed it.

Yes, but you should go to their website and read about the legality. As Califronia has a weird rule, but I have never been stopped with them on.

I've got a Back Off brake light modulator and set of Hyperlites on the back of my FZ. I've been told this is a very good setup for catching someone's attention that's behind you.

I've got the Hyperlites as well, copied VegasRider's setup more or less. I like em. They flash for 5 sec when the brake is applied, then go steady. I think in CA (where I am) they are only allowed to flash 3 times before going steady. But no one has ever hasseled me about it. I find it hard to believe police officer is going to harrange a motorcyclist is is trying to be a bit safer, even if somewhat extra-legal.

They have a 49 state version, and a CA version. I bought the CA version that flashes for four seconds and then goes steady. Regardless of which one you buy, you can simply cut the green wire if you don't want any flashing.

I put on a single Hyper Light attached to an aluminum bracket (I made) that bolts behind the tag(just above the tag). I relocated the rear reflector slightly higher so it was still visable from the rear. I have mine set for flash only. Very, very visable...

I have a Hyper light set on all three bikes as they work that well.....
