Suzuki GSXR650 vs. Yamaha FZ6

It's only in the last few years the GSXR has topped 100bhp. Only if you were up against a racing rider and you're not too experienced would it get too far away. Get the FZ spinning and you'll be fine.

It's been a little more than a few years and going back to at least 04 the bike has been under 400 lbs as well. I just dont see the two stacking up to one another.

An just ignore this since I see someone has revived this old post from the dead

My roommate has an 07 GSXR 600. While he pulls me at speed, down low the FZ puts up a good fight.

The ol' FZ might surprise some unexpected GSXR owners, espically if they cant ride...

Apples and oranges! GSX650F is NOT a GSX600R, it is the replacement to the Katana (and a damn good one). It got rave reviews in the press. Not really a direct competitor to the FZ6S2 - more to the FZ6R/Diversion. I also could not get over the size of the exhaust, but that could be replaced. Anyway, after a year and 4k miles am very happy with the FZ6S2. That being said, would love to have a nice long test ride on the GSX650F.

Yeah, centerstand is optional with the GSX650F. It would add even more weight to an already heavy bike.
