Stop Light Sensors

I bought a high ferrous magnet that was supposed to work on insensitive sensors but it didn't work so if there's no traffic I just go. I won't risk getting off, running across the intersection and on the bike to hit the cross walk button.
I think it's pretty simple if you have the technology to take my picture going through an intersection or if I'm speeding then you should be able to come up with a solution to keep me from being another statistic. We for the most part fall under the same motor vehicle laws so should be afforded the same safety.

Why one sensor works and another fails should be an easy mathematical algorithm.....

I was told by my classroom MSF instructor (in Michigan) that if you sit through three light cycles, you can legally proceed on red with caution .

Further, he was a retired county sheriff.

In most states, there aren't specific laws regarding the issue.

If any, it would be treated as a "malfunctioning traffic device", which is to be treated as a stop sign.

Most police, and really everyone just expects you to use common sense and be safe. If it's safe to do so, you can go through the light after stopping and yielding to right of way traffic.

Yes, a cop could technically write you a ticket, but that would be an incredible dick move and you could probably fight it easily.
In situations like this, police are expected to use their DISCRETION.

I read this thread this earlier today and while out riding I experienced it...ha

Sat thru 3 lights before I waved at the car behind me to roll forward.
