Does anyone know who sells the shortest size windscreen for an FZ6? I'm
6'2" and bought my bike with a touring windshield but heard that a shortie style might be one that would reduce noise/buffeting etc.

I'd like to hear this answer too. I bought my bike with a pretty tall PUIG windscreen on it. For aesthetics, I would prefer a short, smoke screen but I didn't know if it'd be better or worse for noise/wind buffeting.

I went from the standard to a PUIG double bubble style. I'm also 6'2" and all it really did was move the wind blast fom my chest to my chin bar. Having said that I do prefer the PUIG at my normal daily commuting speed of around 70mph. Above 75 though and there's lots of buffeting.

You can probably buy an original sized one from somebody who does not want it on this forum. Then, you can sell your "touring" version to others who might be interested. If you don't like the original version, you can try cutting it down more. I seriously doubt you will get much noise/buffeting with the standard version since you are tall. You will however feel everything else. :)

Actually I'm 6'2" like the OP, and get a good amount of noise/buffeting around my helmet. I have the stock screen on.

Hmmm... That's interesting. I am shorter (5'8") and I did not have any noise/buffeting around my helmet until I put the taller screen on. But, with the stock screen, I had no protection whatsoever and was getting tossed around especially when I was passing big vehicles on the highway. That's why I started to look at the taller screens. Taller screens solved the problem of getting tossed around, but introduced the very noticeable noise. This may also be due to sitting position on the bike of course.

Oh... to the OP, I just noticed you live near me. If you want to try out stock one, you can try mine to see if that is to your liking. I currently have 3 screens. :) I am not thinking about selling any of them, but at least you will know how it feels. I think 2007+ screens are the same.
