Today I went out on telegraph canyon, just like every saturday morning. I rode with my boss who has a bmw k1200r. wicked bike btw.
I know the roads really well by now, and decided to kick it up a notch. I went through a 30 mph posted bunch of esses and on the last one before a stop sign, the turn felt like a dream. Then I hear a sccccrrraaaappppeeee. My left footpeg, the plastic protector on my boot, and my knee puck all hit the ground.
I made the bad decision of letting off of the gas, wich made the turn nasty. Could of easily high sided, or low sided. It was the first peg down and knee down ive gotten.
The rest of the ride i felt felt uncomfortable, so i was riding at about 75% just practicing throttle control, line and relaxing. When i came back through telegraph I was able to fly again.
All in all, I now know what to expect when this happens again. It just scared the poopie outa me.
