Woke up this morning to find my pet dog "Buster" had passed away during the night. :(

He was fine yesterday, but over-night, something has gone wrong and there is blobs of vomit (sorry) all over the back-yard. Dunno if someone has poisoned him or what... Why would someone do that???

R.I.P Buster.

Sorry for your loss - our family dog passed away suddenly last year and still can't find the heart to look for another one; I hope your dog did not suffer!!

Vomit in the backyard? That could've been caused by a variety of things. Stomach-cancer? Disease? Poison?

I'm sorry to hear about your dog. Damn.

I'm so sorry. Pets are family, it SUCKS to lose them.
I'm sure Buster had a great life with your family.
Take care.

I'm sorry to hear that Stumbles.I know how hard it is too lose a dog.my sisters dog had puppies when i was 12 and she kept a little female one and named it Bubbles.she ended up being my dog and she died in a similar way your describing the vet said she had stomach ulcers that had gotten really bad.she didnt act strange before she got sick either was a total suprize when we found her half dead.the vet put her down for me and i brought her home in a box and i could still feel her body heat through the cardboard. i cried all the way home and the entire time i was digging her grave. i was 20 years old and i've never been able too keep a dog longer than a month after her passing.I guess I just don't want too try to replace her.:( I know how you feel man.

Ge'ez dave, that's a bit sudden. Mate, let's hope he has gone to a nice place.

If I remember correctly, buster was a fiesty bugger, so at least he one of those dogs who got old and had a miserable time in his later days.

Hope you andcthe family can remember him fondly, and not spend too much time grieving.

I,m sorry to hear that mate. It's hard to lose a pet .

My dog will be 14 soon and I know the day is coming when he won't be here anymore.

Thanks Steve, that is wonderful, and I too hope it's true.
I just bawled my eyes out watching that.

Thanks all for your kind thoughts, greatly appreciated.

Me too man, every time I see that or read the poem it makes me remember my furry friends that have went on ahead of me. Man we had some good times. I know you know what I am saying. I guess I will miss them for the rest of my life, it doesnt mean I cant have a new friend, they dont take the other ones place, just a new friend that can be a part of my life.

I'm very sorry. I cried like a baby each time I lost my dog over the years. I always felt God put them here to show us how good we could be. All they ask of us is food and love.

I'm so sorry to hear about your pooch. My kitty is 12 and she's getting more dear to me as time goes by. I know how you're feeling now and just really don't what more to say that hasn't already been said -- remember the good times.

Man that sucks. I lost my best friend two years ago suddenly too. I had a portrait of her inked on my back and now where ever I go, she goes. It took me almost a year to get over her loss but I had the help of 3 other Weims and frankly, I think having the other pups around made it easier.

So so sorry to hear that Dave , always hard to lose man's best friend :(....Remember the good times , easier said than done i know but you gotta try mate......If i didnt know better i'd say Cane toad .......Hope not for all you guy's sake's......

Thank you all. It was tough just to walk out to the backyard. We've always had 2 dogs here, it just didn't seem right, so I took a trip out to the Animal Welfare league. Unfortunately, they didn't have any puppies, just some older dogs, and I don't know how they would get along with my 8 year old Maltese.

Checked the local paper, and found a breed of puppy that I have wanted my entire life. Black Labrador, and "Max" now has a new home.

I know it's really soon, but it just felt wrong not having a second dog here.
I'll throw some photo's up soon. Everyone here has a smile on their faces again, and "Buster" will live on in our memories, and in our hearts.

Once again, thank you all for your kind thoughts. May god be with you all.

:)
