Romantic "Date Night" Ideas for the wifey?

So the the wife is hinting that "we never do anything new and romantic anymore".

Been married 2 months, been together 3 years.

My idea of a romantic night: Out for decent dinner followed by a movie at home or perhaps sitting on our deck watching the stars/moon with a bottle of wine and some bbq I made that afternoon.

I need some new ideas from you seasoned veterans! I'm a terrible romantic! I think she wants something different than dinner and a movie every time we do a "date night" together. She's not saying we need to go out and spend more money...just mix it up a bit I guess.

I'm thinking a night motorcycle ride needs to come into play somehow...

I am desperate at planning stuff. My wife is proper ace and I am so lucky to have her.
It depends on the budget really and times is hard at the moment that's for sure.
What you need to do is this:

1. Take your wifes favourite dress, shoes and bag.
2. Photograph them against a plain background.
3. Make a dodgy 70's 80's ransom letter out of old news print "If you want to see me again etc" with taxi number. Pre arrange destination booking with Taxi firm.
4. Send letter and photo to wife at work.
5. leave message at hotel reception with key.
6. Wife dresses up. Leave letter in room where to meet you.
7. Go to dinner + night away.
