Romantic "Date Night" Ideas for the wifey?

So the the wife is hinting that "we never do anything new and romantic anymore".

Been married 2 months, been together 3 years.

My idea of a romantic night: Out for decent dinner followed by a movie at home or perhaps sitting on our deck watching the stars/moon with a bottle of wine and some bbq I made that afternoon.

I need some new ideas from you seasoned veterans! I'm a terrible romantic! I think she wants something different than dinner and a movie every time we do a "date night" together. She's not saying we need to go out and spend more money...just mix it up a bit I guess.

I'm thinking a night motorcycle ride needs to come into play somehow...

Fine idea, but I would skip the foot massage.. I'm sure she'd rather just relax than massage his feet!

but seriously.. preparing a meal is definitely a great idea if you're in position to surprise her with it.

jeez....my idea of romance, is to invite the missus to the shed for a chat, and to make sure i pay attentionto what we are talking about for more than 5 minutes, without picking up a spanner!

This coming from a man who will spend thousands on his bikes, but only spent $500 on an engagement ring!

Priorities i say!

My idea is pretty much the same with yours. And there isnt really that much you can do differently unless you want to spend a lot of money. Sometimes the key is to plan everything but make it look all spontaneous. Get her in the car like youre going out to one of your usual dinner spots but pick something else. Let her figure this out on her own during the drive, but stay mysterious. Take her to a concert followed by a delicious late night snack. You can easily incorporate a bike ride into that :thumbup:

See I think you are on to it. She likes new and different...not the same old thing we always do. There is a nice ice cream place near the mountains....:thumbup:

The only problem with a 2-up motorcycle ride is that the only communication to be had is a punch in the ribs if I am riding too "fast". Women consider verbal communication key to a romantic time with their mate.

Why can't it be as simple as get her fed & rock the bed? Women.

Here comes the free advice: just ask her what she wants to do, and then do exactly what she says. LOL
Don't try to read her mind or "figure out" what she wants...you'll blow it every time!

I like both ideas! She was raised on a dairy farm so even a tractor pull would be something she'd be up for! I was actually thinking of taking her up to the mountain in the morning for a picnic lunch....:thumbup:

take a cooking class together, gives you both an opportunity to create a dish for each other in a fun environment where conversation naturally flows. plus you can then put your newly learned skills to use in the future to surprise her with a romantic home cooked candle lit dinner. Don't forget dessert though, if you want any recipes message me.

Get her a nice SPA package during the afternoon (Manucure, pedicure, hair cut...). So you can go and hit the twisties for few hours. Then you pick her up and good dinner. Don't good too big... you don't want to set the bar two high on your 2 months anniversary. Keep some bullet for later down the road... LOL

Talking while riding really makes a fast long straight or corner less spooky for the passenger, no matter if your preparing for whats going to happen or just chit chatting.

Not necessarily a "date night" idea, but buy her a cute card or a single flower FOR NO REASON. That is a small way to big score points. :thumbup:

Also, I like your idea of going on a scenic ride and for a picnic.
