So I decided to basically take the whole month of June off and do my longest road trip to date. 6,800 miles in 24 days to Canada, down the Pacific Coast and back home again. I only wish I could have taken MORE time off. So enjoy and feel free to add any comment or questions of course.

Took a month to prepare and I'm still wondering if I forgot anything. Hmmmm.......[/QUOTE]

A really cool single track road that I went on in Canon City, Colorado. It was only one way and once you were on it you were not allowed to turn back. Really cool.

Finally conquered Pikes Peak like I wanted. I was feeling dizzy from the thin air. I asked if that was common at the gift shop and they said it was. I felt like I couldn't think straight sometimes. I can only imagine what those guys that do Everest without oxygen feel like.

A good day of riding on Pikes Peak. I would really like to see them race on it. There's some tight hairpin turns on it. Be cool to see how they drag knee through them.

I like taking pics of my finger too. You might see this in a few photos. LOL.

Shelled out wheel bearing anyone? Front started to shimmy a little and the brakes didn't work right. Could have been a worse ending. Pays to have stuff checked out as soon as it starts. I gladly payed the dealership that made the repairs $145 and was on my way. This happened the morning after Pike's Peak. I'm just really glad that it didn't decide to go out on the road going up or down. Could have been really bad then.

A cool looking church I came across. I looked oddly miniture to me.

Just feet away from Buffalo yesterday. After this there was a whole herd coming down the road. I got on my bike and kept really still and they passed on both sides of me. My heart was pumping 100mph. The highlight of the trip so far at that point. My adrenaline must have kept going for about 15 minuets after that.

This is what I woke up to the morning after camping in Yellowstone.

Montana. Another new state conquered. I was minuets from Idaho and I wanted to go there, but was so excited about getting back into Yellowstone that I forgot about it and figured that I had to stay on schedule and didn't go back. It's the only western state that I have not been to now.

I was up in the high country pretty good. This lake was still half frozen. On the road to Jasper from Banff.

Another camp site. I had the whole primative camping side of the park all to myself. It was very nice. I could have walked around in the nude and nobody would have seen me.

Camping in the Redwoods in Cali. I love this photo. It almost looks like a painting or something. It looked even better in person.

Riding the Pacific Coast in Cali. So many twisties you will be sick of them at the end of the day. I actually welcomed straight roads at one point. By the end of the day I was almost totally confident with every corner I hit. This place would make anyone a better rider.

Can you ride a motorcycle through a tree? Of course you can. Anything is possible.

It was really cool riding next to the ocean. This would be a great pic in black and white.

Didn't get to go inside. Looked like it was closed. I bet it was beautiful inside. Thanks for telling me the name of that.

I did do the trip totally solo. I need my alone time to decompress and get my head straight. Not opposed to going with an other person or 2, just as long as there is a solid game plan.

I forgot there was a fire that closed it for awhile but was unsure of the time frame on that. The church itself was undamaged, it was the admin buildings behind the church that suffered.
And I guess you made it up Pikes Peak before the fires we had here? They had to delay the Pikes Peak Hill Climb because of it. Beautiful ride up though, isn't it?

I was fortunate to miss the fires by about a week. It was a very nice ride up there and back. The weather was perfect that day. The bike ran great, but if I stopped it took a little more throttle to get going again. That's with the bike completely stock.
