Rizoma Handlebars with Throttlemeister Bar Ends - Anyone Done This?

I did my due diligence and searched the forum for this topic, but not a lot of information out there. Has anyone installed Throttlemeister Cruise Control onto a Rizoma handlebar? I have my bike a the mechanic and asked him to install the bar ends for me while is was there, but he called today to let me know it wouldn't work (duh - I should have thought of that as I don't have a stock handlebar). I spoke to Fred at Throttlemeister (really nice people) who informed me that they have an adapter that goes down to a 16mm size hole, but that the Rizoma's are only a 14mm and would need to be drilled out to make the adapter fit. Has anyone done this before with maybe another brand of bar and what were the results?

I am waiting to hear back from the mechanic exactly what the interior diameter is for the bar, but will probably try this no matter what as the parts are about $25 for both sides.

OK - may have answered this question after searching a few more sites and trolling google. Looks like this is possible, but if anyone has experience speak up.
