Hi guys i fancy fitting some rim tape to my fz6 but not sure how easy of hard it is to fit well.
I have seen a clip on youtube using a little plastic applicator but not sure where to get one from in the UK.
Any suggestions or help is much appreciated

It's not difficult at all. Applicator isn't necessary. It's more about taking your time.. patience. It helps very much if your bike has a center stand or if you have paddock stand(s). Otherwise you have to keep walking the bike to move on to next area of the wheel.

Don't try to get it 100% perfect, but you should be able to make it smooth enough with minimal frustration.

I agree. It's not awfully difficult to apply. You will make some minor mistakes that will make you curse yourself for couple days, but after that you will hardly notice any imperfections when walking up to your bike.

I used the applicator that came with the tape, it certainly helps but I know my application is not perfect.
In retrospect I should have wiped the rim with a little detergent to get some slip

live n learn

and I did mine with just the side stand- PITA- but doable, you get pretty tired of back n forth movement about half thru side 3
