5'11, 210Lbs. A year and a half ago I was at 140Lbs! Trying to get my weight back down to 150-160 range, maybe even back down to the 140. Go go cycling!
Fit is something I'm not right now...![]()
Damn doughnuts and snacky cakes did it to me. I have a beer belly without even being a drinker! Pants went from a size 32 to 36, and kinda need to even go higher to a 38 now! sucks donkey butt.
Well, maybe this is the place to do it then... I'm thinking about finding people to keep me accountable for weight loss/fitness gain...
I have 84 days from today before I leave on my colorado trip for vacation. I'm thinking about doing P90x til then, I just need to get started, I guess.
If I create a thread in the bar, would you guys keep me accountable? (I mean seriously accountable... I need a ton of pushing to keep going...)
I have P90X as well. It doesn't really work well for me though with all the traveling I do for work now. I find cycling to work fairly well for me, plus a little weight lifting. When away from my bike, I can hit a stationary bike and do intervals for a few hours. I had gotten up to riding over 30 miles a day, burning like 1500 calories at the pace i was riding lol. Really leaned me down and made me fit. Then... it got cold out... and i moved away from any gyms.
Throw a post up in the bar! Lets see how many people we can get involved, set goals, get total weight loss for everybody, weight loss percentages, all that fun stuff going. Push each other to the limits!
BMI is not a great indication of anything. I work out frequently and am therefore muscular. Muscle weighs more than fat, and the BMI chart says I am overweight. I have about 5% body fat...
Best way to improve the performance of a bike? Loose weight! Think about it how high that weight is at on the bike....
