I need to lose 100 lbs so I could be in the middle of this poll. My gear is tight, and I need to lose the gut to make it a bit more comfortable. I just have been struggling to lose anything with out doing something drastic, but then I'm not a nice person to be around.

6'4" and about 195lbs. I've gained 10 pounds in the last 20 or so years (I'm 42 now).

5'11, 210Lbs. A year and a half ago I was at 140Lbs! Trying to get my weight back down to 150-160 range, maybe even back down to the 140. Go go cycling!

I know what you mean!

Right now, 5'11", 180lbs

4 years ago, I graduated high school at 5'10", 117lbs...

Trying to get down into a "fit" 165-175lbs range. Fit is something I'm not right now... :(

Damn doughnuts and snacky cakes did it to me :(. I have a beer belly without even being a drinker! Pants went from a size 32 to 36, and kinda need to even go higher to a 38 now! sucks donkey butt.

Well, maybe this is the place to do it then... I'm thinking about finding people to keep me accountable for weight loss/fitness gain...

I have 84 days from today before I leave on my colorado trip for vacation. I'm thinking about doing P90x til then, I just need to get started, I guess.

If I create a thread in the bar, would you guys keep me accountable? (I mean seriously accountable... I need a ton of pushing to keep going...)

26 years old, 5'8", about 175lbs, 5-7% body fat.

Ride my naked FZ pretty hard and have the rear shock bumped up to the 4th notch. Works for me!

I have P90X as well. It doesn't really work well for me though with all the traveling I do for work now. I find cycling to work fairly well for me, plus a little weight lifting. When away from my bike, I can hit a stationary bike and do intervals for a few hours. I had gotten up to riding over 30 miles a day, burning like 1500 calories at the pace i was riding lol. Really leaned me down and made me fit. Then... it got cold out... and i moved away from any gyms.

Throw a post up in the bar! Lets see how many people we can get involved, set goals, get total weight loss for everybody, weight loss percentages, all that fun stuff going. Push each other to the limits!

I just did, I also made a blog. I'll keep them both updated. Maybe a goals section would be nice!

BMI is not a great indication of anything. I work out frequently and am therefore muscular. Muscle weighs more than fat, and the BMI chart says I am overweight. I have about 5% body fat...

Same for me. My BMI is just a bit over 25.0 and I considered overweight...

I just turn 40 yo, 5'8" 163-165 max with a BF of under 12%

Probably already posted in here a few years back but signing in again at same weight! I'm M/33yrs and a horse jocky 140 lbs and 5'7".

hard to believe that the average FZ6 rider is over 200 lbs! I would have went for an FZ1 if I was in that weight group.

The good news for us little guys is the FZ-6 feels like an FZ1 when you weigh less than 150 lbs!

Best way to improve the performance of a bike? Loose weight! Think about it how high that weight is at on the bike....

When I ride 2-up with my 115 lb wife we only weigh 255 combined and the bike feels extremely slow compared to by myself and gives you an idea of how this bike feels to the big guys, like a football player on a pony! :D
