I pulled a muscle in the lower back this Tuesday (I don't even know how), today I went to the doctor, he said is nothing, it will simply go away in 2-4 weeks.
I have some pain when I bend, and is a bit bothersome when driving, etc, but otherwise I’m fine.
Should I ride in this condition? I don’t see how this pain will interfere with my riding, but I don’t want to take chances.

Superb weather this weekend here, +80F, what can I say, is a shame if I don’t ride!!! :spank:

Should I ride?

Hope you heal up soon, those things can be painful .

I'm no doctor, but I have occasional muscular problems with my back and although it hurts like hell when it has just happened I find (careful) riding hurts less than driving, I think it's due to the more upright position.

Don't forget to check your meds as there are several types which can effect your driving/riding skills.

+1 on checking the warning labels on the meds.....

Other than that, a painful day riding is way better than a painful day wishing you were riding.

And...
I'm seeing the weather forecast, big santa ana wind tomorrow 20-40 mph at So. Cal.
Good excuse not to riding (skipping) just one day to avoid misfortune.

I ride with terrible knots on my back sometimes..once i get on the bike i dont feel it too much.. but remember that it wont help with your condition. Cyclobenzaprine 10mg for muscle relaxing if you need it.

Better off in the long run if you wait till you are healed.
I pulled a muscle in my upper back one time and it was extreemly painful. It was so painful, I had trouble getting out of bed in the morning.

I manage to pull a muscle in my back or neck every few months it seems, just doing ordinary things. In my experience, activity makes it heal faster, even if if it's just light activity. Plan to ride gently. If it hurts too much, then wait; you want to be safe on the bike.
