For those of you who have done the projector headlight mod, this question is for you.

I know that the headlight housing had to be pulled apart to get the components in place. However, if the projector lamp burns out, would you have to take the headlight assembly apart again to replace it? In other words, the projectors fit the H4/H7 openings, but could the projector lamps be replaced through the original bulb opening?

I am considering doing the projector mod for the FZ6R and was curious about this. I don't know the lifespan of a projector bulb and was wondering how frequently I would have to disassemble the headlight housing to change the lamp if it can't be done through the back of the headlight like the stock bulbs.

Thanks!

You can replace the bulbs at the back of the headlight, just one screw holds them in I think.
To change the projector you have to pull it apart again, can't see that ever having to happen though.
