Hardly looks like my 2006 fz has changed...best mods are the r&g aero frame sliders and asv levers. Tight budget means all mods were ebay special secondhand bargains. Renthal ultra low much straighter , black and for £5 you cant go wrong! fz1 black mirrors and rad ends and a splash of paint on the headlight surround complete the budget black makeover. Hopefully when I get time black forks. Am I right in thinking the black ones are still the fastest ?!?!?!

Looks great fella
I'm the same, scour eblag for everything and I sprayed my headlight surround and rad ends with rattlecans too. Nowt wrong with thriftiness

And yes,Black are still the fastest, but I hear the Orange ones are now only about 5 bhp off of ours now....

Heya Scott,

I was just browsing back through this thread and woah, hold on, I know those forks, very well! They're off an R6 right? Did you buy your fz like that or mod it? If you modded, how did you go about getting the forks on?

I'm very interested in your thoughts on the handling of the bike now as well?

Nice looking bike, that radiator cover really screams "look at me" doesnt it!

Glad you like the rad cover I made it myself I added the lower return to protect the fan from stones being thrown up into it.
I have more mods on the cards as & when the funds become available.

Thanks, Here is the link to the mod. I need to take it apart and show the process, probably will this winter when I cannot ride anymore, but for now the riding is just too good to do so.
