This last weekend my wonderful wife and I went over to spend her birthday weekend near the coast and the day Saturday at Sears Point Raceway (old school name) for the AMA Superbike races. It was her first time at pro motorcycle races at this level so it was all new to her.

I have ridden this track two times while attending Reg Pridmore's Class. Once with the FJR and another with the FZ6- woohoo way fun! The track knowledge just makes it more fun to watch the pros do it right.

We walked through the pit area where I said hello to Josh Hayes and Ben Bostrom. I told her I was good friends with these guys-she didn't buy it. Anyway it was a great day with tons of bikes, noise, burnt racing fuel (should be a cologne) and a couple smokey victory burnouts. We had a ball!

Part 2, a few more bikes.
I am far from a Harley fan but I really liked this 1200 (most likely for the old school look). All they can do is suspension and exhaust plus a few other race bits so they are close to stock. One owner said they spend a lot of time retightening bolts but it turned out fun to watch as it was mostly rider skill with the bikes all about the same.





I really like the way this picture shows the Harley freight train through the esses. Almost looks stop motion of one bike.
