Part Number on FZ1 Handlebars

Good Day,

First post here... I am looking to do the FZ1 handlebar switch on my 2005 FZ6. I have found plenty of information on how to do it here, but I wanted to make sure I get the exact part number for my year (05) bike. Does it matter if I got the 07 and above FZ1 handlebar? Is there any difference between handlebars for the FZ1 between the 05 and 06-07?

It's for a 2006 FZ6.. will it work on a 2005?

The 2004 through 2006 FZ6 are Series 1. 20007-2009 are S 2. Yes it will work with your 05.

There is a difference in the FZ1 bar where the pilot hole is for the hand control assemblies. Some people nip off the pilot pin on the FZ6 hand control. There is a way to measure and drill a new pilot locator hole in the FZ1 bar.

Also you'll need a file or grinder to remove a nub from the bar and locating the hole just take a moment...
