painted heat shield

I painted my exhaust shield and radiator guards black after seeing a post here about doing so. A great mod. Inexpensive, and really gives the bike a more agressive look...

I used a flat black, so the exhaust still stand out from the rest of the bike.

Yes I used a "high temp' flat back.

BTW you don't need to use any "high temp" paints on this part. It's plastic and dosen't get hot. If it got that hot that you needed high temp paint, it wouldn't be made of plastic.

Any spray paint should work just fine.

This isnt "just" plastic.

I just cut a part out of it to have more place for the license plate screws.

And while cutting I recognized that it is plastic inside covered with a part of metal outside. (Maybe aluminum) The medal cover is thin bit it is there. I think maybe 1/10mm.

Just a tip,for the best gloss black.Use matt black,then spray a coat of clear over the top.Looks awesome :thumbup:
