Older than you look

Do I really look like a friggin 18 year old?

Yes, you do. And as we've been sayin' it ain't a bad thing. Don't be in too much of a hurry to get or look older. Enjoy it. And don't forget to use sunscreen, it'll help to keep you looking good... or you could forget it and get all leathery...

I'm a 19 year old girl, fresh out of high school, but people are constantly mistaking me for being 23 or 24. Right now, I like it since all of my friends are around that age. Why? Because I'm tired of most girls my age. Truly. Gossip, boy bands, and soap opera quality drama give me a migraine within a nanosecond or two.

A couple things- I know first hand that a majority of high school girls like going for older guys, one of the most common reasons being that a fairly large portion of high school guys are, in relation, just as and sometimes even more immature than they are. I was (and am) no exception.

Another point is that not all American high school girls are lip-glossed, gum-chewing, gossip obsessed, "Oh my god!" airheads. Please don't generalize : )

Here's my main tip- even if you looked your age (sporting some scruff usually does that trick...), high school girls would still flirt with you- it's in their nature and they'd probably find you even more alluring since the "older guy" thing is pretty much hardwired into their mate finding system.

And I have to agree with the guys on this thread- I'm a little confused as to why this is a bad thing?

Some chick asked me how old i was the other night...i said Guess, she said 26......i am 40...she instantly became my best friend....Lol!

My friend and I used to do that (underestimate a guy's age) to score free drinks on girls' night out. Don't be too flattered ;) :ban: We called it the age game. If the guy didn't buy us drinks, then whoever was closest got a drink from the one who was further off.

Interesting , anything else us guys should be aware of

My wife is 48, she is 6 months older than me and people always guess her age in the mid 30s.

A few years ago I was in a bar in O'Hare airport and asked for a beer. The barman asked for ID. When I laughed he pointed to a sign, so I gave him my ID. Half an hour later, the same barman asked for ID again when I ordered another. When he asked for ID a third time I gave him my South African driver's licence. He looked it over then said "Where's the date of birth on here?"

Not that I know of, but I am sure some other ladies have used tricks.... This started as a game between the two of us, but we realized that almost every time, the guy offered to buy us drinks if we underestimated. We are smart, and used it to our advantage :) Met some interesting people that way, too.

I wouldn't say 18 - buy would probably peg you in your early 20's.

I agree with others and say enjoy it. You will especially appreciate it when you meet your classmates on the street 20 years after graduation and think, "Wow - what the heck - they look terrible!" while you are still enjoying your boy-ish good looks! :Flash:
