I'm a 19 year old girl, fresh out of high school, but people are constantly mistaking me for being 23 or 24. Right now, I like it since all of my friends are around that age. Why? Because I'm tired of most girls my age. Truly. Gossip, boy bands, and soap opera quality drama give me a migraine within a nanosecond or two.
A couple things- I know first hand that a majority of high school girls like going for older guys, one of the most common reasons being that a fairly large portion of high school guys are, in relation, just as and sometimes even more immature than they are. I was (and am) no exception.
Another point is that not all American high school girls are lip-glossed, gum-chewing, gossip obsessed, "Oh my god!" airheads. Please don't generalize : )
Here's my main tip- even if you looked your age (sporting some scruff usually does that trick...), high school girls would still flirt with you- it's in their nature and they'd probably find you even more alluring since the "older guy" thing is pretty much hardwired into their mate finding system.
And I have to agree with the guys on this thread- I'm a little confused as to why this is a bad thing?
