Noob Question of the Century...

I posted that my bike felt like an axe-murderer.

That was my first entry into the dumbass of the year awards... I've adjusted, still had a few moments, but I'm used to it, and I freaking love it.

THIS takes the cake though - how do I open the dang seat up to put my wallet and a half oz of weed in there?

I'm also kidding about the weed - I never have less than a QP

Seriously, it WON'T open - can someone post me a quickie how-to?

I feel like such a fecking retard. I poke at it like a chimp with a stick, and it does no good.

I would very much be appreciamaiting of you'ze helps. :squid:

As far as the seat, it's pretty straight forward (on my '06 at least.)

1.) put your key in the keyhole just below the seat on the clutch side of the bike.
2.) Turn it counter-clockwise or whichever way it goes while also lifting up on the back of the seat. You shouldn't have to lift with much force unless it's a tight fitting aftermarket seat.
3.) It's not exactly hinged at the front, it's just sort of "tabbed" in for complete removal.

On the left side of the bike, just under the seat, is a cylinder sticking out with a keyhole. Insert the key and turn (it only turns a little, not all the way). You will hear a click and might see the tail end of the seat raise up a little. Just grab that and pull up the tail end of the seat, then slide it back to remove it.

Putting it back on can be tricky. If you look under it there is a tab that needs to fit into a slot that is near the tank. Slide that into the slot (it can be tricky) then push down on the tail of the seat until you hear a click.

If the seat is really tight like my Corbin you may have to push down on the seat while unlocking it to get it to open.

yours is 07 so there are 2 key holes under the left side of the seat,,one of them is the helmet lock,,,you have to use the other key hole of course,,,turn the key and lift the seat up by holding the back end of it..
