You have to keep in mind that a family car (midrange) here in Denmark would cost twice as much as a FZ6, - 30-40k us$ .....
So as a vehicle bought in Denmark its not that expensive .....
This is a matter of purchasing power parity, which is roughly the same in DK and the US. For instance, a Big Mac will set you back the same percentage of your average salary, other things equal
The same thing applies to Norway, although the price level is somewhat even higher here than in Denmark. My bike, which is a 2005-model and has 24000 km on the counter, cost me more than a brand new 2009 S2 US-model... But then again, our salaries are proportionally higher in Scandinavia in general compared to the US.
But back to the thread starter: Welcome to the forum! My bike is my first. I bought it last august, got my license in september, and think the bike is teriffic! The traffic school I attended used the FZ6 as a school bike, by the way. I learned that the reason was the agility and the general "easyness" of the bike. Therefore, this ike is a safe bet! I can recommend it to anyone
