Yep, the Street Triple aint any faster than an FZ6 in the right hands! About the same HP, weight, etc...but the FZ6 frame makes the FZ6 such a sweet handler iMHO...

I read so many great things about the Street Triple I was excited to get a test ride of the "R' version last Summer. It was nice but I was not floored. The sound was great and it felt flickable but the throttle was snatchy and it had a really wide steering lock. Plus, the seating for my 6'1" frame felt cramped.

The FZ6 has it's problems but handling is not one of them. Especially with decent tires the bike is a joy to toss about. It holds a line like it was on rails but changes direction whenever asked. Also the reliability is tops, especially when compared to Triumph's. Just check out how often Street Triples die due to rectifier\regulator failures. The forums are full of complaints about this.
