New bike cam!

Out of curiousity, does the manufacturer have any warranty disclaimer in the event it DOES fly off at highway speeds? Just curious...

Is there a safety strap with the suction cup mount? I really like the video quality from it and the price looks like a deal. I'm a chicken when it comes to mounting things on the bike though, I still don't trust the magnets on my tank bag although it hasn't moved in 1000+ miles of riding.

heres a sample of one i did today useing a side mount on my 1000rr, I did one the other day on the fz6 using the tank and helment

Played around a bit today with some mounting points. Dad and I each did this, however his fell off at one point... That was interesting. However, it does still work.

It fell off the front fender at somewhere around 60 mph. The video is...sickenly funny? "Oh noooooo" *crash, tumble, screeeeeech*

The good news is the camera and mount are no worse for the wear, the only real damage is on the lens cover of the outer case. I'm looking into a replacment as we speak.

Bryan is going to help me make a video like his and I'll post it later. I got some pretty 'unique' camera angles and views...

When I can't be on my bike riding the next best thing is to watch other people ride lol.

brian. what was the music you edited into the first movie you posted?

In the first video the opening song was Anti-Saint by Chevelle and the second song was The Clincher by Chevelle as well.

question.. i was wondering what to footage looks like on a big tv?? is this the type of camera you would use to make say dvd's? or is there a better on out there?? i would love to get a camera, but shy away due to low resolution. not that i want HD, but a video that can be put on dvd and it looks good is what i am looking for.

or this cam does that, but you guys are scaling the video down for youtube??? thanks

Mine came in the mail today actually. I took it out and rode around a bit and tried it on the big TV (has RCA cables). It looks pretty good actually. NOT DVD quality but good SD quality. And as far as I know, most digital cameras now can do vids @ 640x480 (or greater) which is better resolution than this thing outputs. BUT this thing has a pretty clean picture and does great for what it's made for.

The biggest difference I've seen between this and say a regular digital camera is that a regular digital camera will crap out and look whacky when in direct light source.

until seeing this thread i would never even consider a cam for this sort of use,but having the means to document my adventures seems very appealing and also the price is very good.
i kinda planned to make some sort of motorcycle diary this year but would of only used stills, this cam looks like a great addition to my new xmas D-SLR.....and its my birthday in under 3 weeks :D

well i just showed the wife ,and although she rolled her eyes at me i could be onto a winner..something elso i noticed today now that im vewing with the volume up is you still catch the induction growl from the airbox..im completley sold
