Need help selecting some winter gloves

Due to store credit, I don't have a very wide selection. I've narrowed it down to three choices.

-Tourmaster Cortech Scarab Winter
On a side note, the Cortech Scarab RR is NOT a winter glove. As far as I can tell, they have no insulation in them at all.

-Firstgear Explorer

-Firstgear Fargo

If anyone has any experience with any of these three, please let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

imho winter gloves are useless under 50F.
i bought 2 different winter gloves and was disappointed in them once it got cold.
spend the money on heated gloves.

Not on your list..... Reima ski mobile gloves. I've had a pair for about 8 years now. No need to find better; these work.

Waterproof, and designed for going fast in snow. I can wear them down to about 35 degrees @70 MPH, depending on how well insulated the rest of me is. At that point electric heat needs to be added.

I can recommend the Coretech winter scarab gloves. Just make sure you select the right size - because of the liner they will not stretch to fit like an all-leather glove. These gloves are well armored.

For real cold consider handlebar wind deflectors, heated bars or gloves.

I have a set of Tourmaster winters. I'm not sure of the modle. I do not like them. The liner/insulation is not really 'attached' to the outer shell. Sort of like many layers of gloves inside each other. They are warm, do well enough in the wind but... I feel totally disconnected from the bike in them. Very bad on the throatle hand. It is almost as if I have a half an inch of play (12.5 mm to you metric folk) in the throatle. So try them on and be aware of how much your hand can move around in the glove. Maybe grab a pole and twist a bit.

I have Tour Master's Polar-Tex and it is rated same way as Tourmaster Cortech Scarab Winter based on their web site. They are OK. They do not feel bulky and let you feel the controls. I have done few 35 F high gear 8K runs for about 10-15 minutes with them and I started to feel the cold. I, too, am looking for a good glove that would do better job for cold days.

I have heard good things about Teknic's Thunder which is suppose be nice from a sales person who tried out, but did not have it for sale yet. So, I don't know if he was just doing a sale's pitch or giving me an honest opinion since he did not have any to sell. I would be interested in hearing if anybody knows anything about that one as well.

Couldn't agree more! Buy yourself a pair of electric heated gloves, they will give you years of comfort.

LOL yeah. For the money I spent on those 2 winter gloves I could've just bought the heated ones. There's a lesson in that.... somewhere....

My wife rides with First Gear Commander Gauntlets. They have 40g of thinsulate and are good for temps below 40*.

I have a pair of Power Trip Dakota Gauntlets. They have 60g of thinsulate and are good to temps below 30*.

We also have pairs if ARC Back Country deep winter gloves. They are just as warm as the gauntlets, but half the bulk. Completely waterproof and windproof, my only complaint is the cuff does not extend far enough into my jacket to cover my wrist.. These are good for cool weather/ wet weather riding.

IF you really want warm hands, get the muffs that cover the grips entirely. They are fugly but warm.
