I am heading over to france in two months for a weeks riding. I wanted a power socket for an air compressor so I thought I'd stick on a satnav mount also.

I have powered the socket straight off the battery. Might change it so the ignition has to be on for power or I might leave it so I can plug in a trickle charger in the winter.

I put in a box as there isn't really anywhere I could neatly put the socket on the bike. (you fairing people have it luckly)

Here's some pics

Nice! I love my 12V socket. Lets me run Pandora radio on my cell and keep her charged while riding. Currently I have just tapped into my headlight wires. Looking at either going straight to the battery, trying to tap into the fuse box somehow, or doing a relay using the headlight.
