My naked fz6 - painted the tank!

After dropping the bike a few weeks ago the tank needed to get resprayed. Decided to have a go at it myself. Current colour is silver but fancied matt black so here is a quick guide on how I went about it.

The paint was all from a local motor factors and in rattle can type so I am happy with the outcome considering how little it cost me!

Consider me jealous! That's exactly how I want mine looking. Still gotta buy the parts for the conversion, though.

I might get a friend to do a pro job for me as a favor.

I have spent atleats a couple of hours thinking about doing it. I have blacked out most everything else but the tank and side pods(red) It sure does look good:thumbup:

Getting a bit hooked on this spraying business lol.

Sprayed a few additional parts, the mirrors are now matt black and also the two rear panels just below the back end of the seat were gloss black, they are now matt.

Not bad work for approx £30 worth of paint :) (2 cans of primer and 2 cans of matt black)
