My daughter's surprise last night

She is beautiful David! But I have to agree that makeup has no place on little girls. As a matter of fact, I tell my wife and daughter that makeup is for covering ugly and neither of them need a lick of it! ;)

Girls are much more difficult to raise than boys. And yes, I've pinned a couple of her past boyfriends to the wall outside of the house when she wasn't looking. One, about a foot off the ground.

My sons used to tell her suitors that "Dad owns a gun and a shovel. We live next to a graveyard. You WON'T be missed!"

They grow up. Quickly. You know that, right? So enjoy it all like there's no tomorrow.
BTW- Dads and daughters share a special bond that can, and will, include threatening certain boyfriends with physical harm (almost always successfully!) and staying up all hours of the night only to slip in to bed when they arrive home late. Never letting on until much later in life that you did that from time to time. This thread made me smile!

Amen to that Jack, no matter how many sleepless nights, worrying, pulling out your hair, and giving the boyfriends that "look", my two daughters, now 32 and 28 will always be my little girls and that special father/daughter bond will always be there.

Man, I feel like it was just a few weeks ago I showed up at your old house in LB to buy some mirrors off of you and she was just a baby. Time sure flies. Good thing she looks like her mom:Flip: HAHA Miss you bro.
